The University of Hertfordshire is proud of the strong sense of community we've created within our School of Humanities and we open our doors to the wider local and academic communities too.
This in turn provides exciting and career enhancing co-curricular experiences for our students.
Sharing our knowledge and creative resources fosters these relationships and benefits everyone. We welcome the public to a whole variety of events, including a lively programme of evening classes, short courses and conferences.
We are also actively involved with the local business community. Input from an advisory panel of business and public service professionals helps to set the School's future direction and keep programmes fresh and career-relevant.
Fostering close links with prestigious bodies, such as the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), Heritage Lottery Foundation and The Mind Association attracts valuable research funding and helps to make sure we’re at the heart of what’s happening in the academic world.
