The programme is made up of intertwining threads spanning six distinct areas which, together, make up today’s thriving audio and music industry. Each individual pathway gives students the chance to develop their creative identity and expand their skill set, whilst making valuable connections and forging memorable industry experiences to benefit them for years to come.

Experimentation is strongly encouraged, and our position within the School of Creative Arts provides an easy route to a plethora of exciting interdisciplinary opportunities. Whether this is through collaborations across a range of art forms, or exploration of emerging technologies or contrasting subject areas, students can challenge themselves and their peers to pioneer something new and push the margins of innovation.
As well as being taught by professionals with years of industry experience, students can gain real-world experience to enhance career options and build industry connections via our placement year option. This gives students a full year in the industry between the second and third year of their degree, providing an invaluable window to experience the current industry, build a professional network of contacts, develop skills and increase career prospects.
As well as the placement scheme, our Music programme gives students extra through a constant supply of opportunities. Whether this is coordinating everything from sound projection, lighting and live video feeds to marketing, promotion and front of house at our JamJar live gigging events, the programme boasts countless added extras to give your degree that extra impact when looking for jobs and opportunities after graduation.
