Employability at the Business School

During 2017, Hertfordshire Business School has nearly 200 students on placement, both within the UK and internationally. This brochure showcases their placement stories and the importance of a placement to their employability and transformational journey from student to graduate.

Placement Conference

Each year Hertfordshire Business School hosts an annual Placement Conference. The aim of the day is to bring placement students together and highlight the support and resources that are available to them whilst they are on their placement and when they return from their placement experience to complete the final year of their degree.

Throughout the day there is a significant range of sessions run to inspire placement students and support them in helping them make decisions regarding their employability and academic choices. Sessions include Networking, Transformation through Reflection, Employer Perspectives, Student and Alumni Panel Event and Programme Options Talks. The sessions are hosted by the HBS employability team, Careers and Employment team, teaching staff, employers, alumni and students. The Placement Conference is an important event as it is a way of celebrating our student’s placement stories and successes.
