Amazing shows, engaging activities, inspiring careers networking and a STEMtastic student competition make The Big Bang Fair Eastern the place to be on Thursday 5 July and is free to attend!
Join us for a host of exciting hands on activities and fantastic shows at The Big Bang Fair Eastern!
The Big Bang Fair Eastern is for secondary school students aged 11-18 years and aims to inspire our future scientists and engineers at a regional and local level.
We want to encourage more students to take these subjects, as well as celebrating young people’s achievements in science and engineering through displaying their STEM projects and presenting their ideas to engineers and scientists. There will be so much going on at the event - from shows that will amaze you, to workshops where you can get hands-on with engineering and technology. There's something for everyone!
There will be lots of exhibitors and careers information (take a look under the activities tab above to find out who will be there on the day - this will be updated regularly as we get more information) and of course the UK Young Scientists & Engineers Competition where students have the opportunity to show off their work and win prize money for themselves and their school.
Students, teachers and science clubs can bring along and showcase the great science, technology, engineering and maths projects they’ve been working on. They can talk to STEM professionals about their work and can enter one of the many prize categories that will be available at the Fair, including the UK Young Scientists & Engineers Competition regional heat.
Opening hours for visitors: 10:00 - 14:30
Opening hours for competitors: 08:30 - 15:30
